KeepReceipt help

Support

Practical help for scanning, reviewing, saving, finding, and exporting your receipt proof.

Email support

Start with a receipt

  1. On Home, choose Scan Receipt, Add Manually, or Import.
  2. For a scan or imported image, review every suggested field. Text recognition is best effort and can be edited before saving.
  3. Add return or warranty dates and keep reminder toggles enabled if you want local alerts.
  4. Save, then use Receipts to search for the proof or open it for editing and PDF export.

Common questions

How can I add a receipt?

Use Apple’s document camera to scan one or more pages, select an image from Photos or Files, or enter the receipt manually. Document scanning is available only on supported physical devices.

What if recognized text is wrong?

Review and edit the merchant, date, amount, currency, deadlines, notes, and tags before saving. You can edit the saved receipt later. KeepReceipt does not guarantee text-recognition accuracy or retailer return and warranty terms.

Why did a system reminder not appear?

A system alert needs an enabled reminder with a future trigger date and notification permission. If notifications are denied or the reminder time is already past, the receipt and in-app reminder remain saved, but iOS cannot schedule that alert.

Where is my receipt information stored?

KeepReceipt stores receipt images, recognized text, purchase details, deadlines, and preferences locally on your device. There is no account, developer backend, or cloud sync in version 1. iOS may retain device backups according to your Apple backup settings.

How do I export proof?

Open a receipt and choose Export PDF. The PDF can include receipt details, saved images, and optional OCR text. Pro users can export library details as CSV from Settings. The destination you choose controls the exported copy.

How do I delete data?

Delete an individual receipt from its detail screen, or use Delete All Receipt Data in Settings. This removes receipts, staged exports, associated reminders, and widget details. It does not delete files you previously saved outside KeepReceipt, device backups managed by iOS, app preferences, or App Store purchases.

How does KeepReceipt Pro work?

KeepReceipt Pro Lifetime is an optional one-time, non-consumable App Store purchase. It unlocks receipt creation beyond the 15-receipt free limit, advanced filters and sorting, Deadline Radar, batch CSV export, custom reminder timing, and Face ID lock. It is not a subscription.

How do I restore Pro?

Open Settings and choose Restore Purchases. KeepReceipt asks the App Store to refresh the verified entitlement associated with your Apple Account. KeepReceipt does not receive your payment-card details.

Can support restore a deleted receipt?

No. KeepReceipt has no server-side copy that Peter Hlavatik can access or restore. Export important proof before deleting it and manage device backups through Apple’s system settings.

What if the receipt library will not open?

Choose Try Again on the Receipt Library Unavailable screen. KeepReceipt does not delete the library when that error appears. If retrying does not resolve it, contact support with the app version, iOS version, and exact error text.

Contact support

Email p.hlavatik@gmail.com. It helps to include:

  • your KeepReceipt version and build number from Settings;
  • your iOS version and device model;
  • the steps that led to the issue; and
  • the exact error message, if one appeared.

Protect your proof: Do not email receipt images, payment details, loyalty numbers, addresses, or other sensitive purchase information unless it is necessary to resolve your request.
